Karachi (Web Desk): Gold rates saw a strong rally in Pakistan’s local bullion market on Friday, posting notable gains across the board.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola climbed by Rs5,700, taking it to Rs460,262, while 10 grams of the same purity increased by Rs4,887 to reach Rs394,600.
Prices of 22-karat gold followed the upward trend, with 10 grams becoming costlier by Rs4,480 and closing at Rs361,729.
Silver also registered an increase, as the rate of 24-karat silver per tola rose by Rs227 to Rs7,862, while 10 grams went up by Rs195 to settle at Rs6,740.
Internationally, precious metals reflected similar momentum. Gold prices advanced by $57 to $4,379 per ounce, whereas silver gained $2.27 to stand at $73.87 per ounce, according to the association’s data.
