Karachi (Web Desk): Gold prices extended their upward momentum in the local bullion market on Monday, according to figures released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSJGA).
The price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs3,000, reaching Rs536,562 compared to Rs533,562 in the previous trading session.
Likewise, the rate of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,572 to Rs460,015 from Rs457,443.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also moved higher, climbing by Rs2,358 to Rs421,695 from Rs419,337.
Silver prices mirrored the bullish trend. The per tola rate of silver gained Rs146, rising to Rs9,094 from Rs8,948, while the price of 10 grams of silver advanced by Rs125 to Rs7,796 from Rs7,671.
In the international market, gold prices increased by $30 to $5,138 per ounce from $5,108, while silver prices edged up by $1.46 to $86.10 per ounce, the association reported.
