Pakistan Embassy in Beijing celebrates Independence Day, honours 'Marka-e-Haq'

Beijing (Web Desk): The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing held a solemn and spirited ceremony to mark the country’s Independence Day, while also honoring Pakistan’s recent military success in the battle known as Marka-e-Haq, fought during Operation Bunyanum-Marsoos in May 2025.

The event began with the ceremonial raising of the national flag, led by the Deputy Head of Mission, Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary, accompanied by the national anthem.

 A reflective atmosphere prevailed as official messages from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister were shared with those in attendance.

These messages recalled the sacrifices of the freedom movement under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and celebrated the birth of Pakistan on 14 August 1947.

The messages also congratulated the nation on the significant military victory in Marka-e-Haq, achieved during the conflict initiated by India earlier this year.

The leadership emphasized national resilience, unity, and the need to uphold the country’s founding ideals to build a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering, Bilal Mahmood Chaudhary offered warm Independence Day greetings to the Pakistani community residing in China.

He highlighted the decisive outcome of Marka-e-Haq, crediting the bravery, professionalism, and determination of the Pakistani armed forces and people.

The Deputy Head of Mission also spoke about the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China, describing it as a unique and exemplary relationship in the international sphere.

He acknowledged the valuable contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in fostering bilateral ties and supporting national progress through community engagement and cooperation.

The ceremony featured patriotic songs and a video tribute that recounted the key moments of Operation Bunyanum-Marsoos, paying homage to the courage displayed during the conflict.

These elements lent an emotional and patriotic tone to the occasion, reinforcing the pride and unity felt across the Pakistani community in Beijing.

Attendees included embassy staff, members of the Pakistani community in China, and friends of Pakistan who gathered to honor the nation’s independence and its recent achievements.
