Karachi court approves 3-day physical remand of 'drug dealer' Anmol alias Pinky 

Karachi (Web Desk): A local court in Karachi on Wednesday handed over alleged drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky, to police on a three-day physical remand in a case filed by Karachi South Police.

The development came a day after police had failed to secure her custody when the court rejected their initial plea and instead sent the suspect to jail on judicial remand.

According to the investigation officer, police requested physical remand to trace the source behind the cocaine supply, investigate her financial background, and complete a Criminal Record Office (CRO) verification.

During the hearing on Wednesday, the investigating officer once again requested the court to allow police custody of the suspect. DIG South stated that a fresh application had been submitted and revealed that authorities had also obtained information regarding earlier cases registered against Anmol alias Pinky.

Police officials said the suspect was arrested from the Garden area of Karachi and had been evading arrest in at least 10 separate criminal cases.

Authorities further claimed that weapons, cocaine, and other narcotics worth nearly Rs1.5 million were recovered from her possession. Investigators stated that she had been operating a drug trafficking network across the city.

Meanwhile, police also recovered several audio recordings from her mobile phone. In one of the alleged voice messages, Pinky appears to caution her associates about the possibility of her arrest while indicating that her operations would continue through another person.

In a separate move, the SSP South was removed from the inquiry through an official notification and replaced by DIG West Irfan Baloch.

The notification stated that Irfan Baloch had been assigned to probe all issues that surfaced during Pinky’s court appearance on Tuesday, including alleged breaches of protocol.

Authorities directed the DIG West to submit a report within three days, while the Additional IG warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against any officer or official found guilty of negligence or misconduct.
