Karachi (Web Desk): A Karachi court has approved the physical remand of accused Anmol alias Pinky until May 22 in one of drug-related cases registered against her.
The Judicial Magistrate Central granted police custody of the suspect for further investigation. Meanwhile, another court extended her physical remand by two days in a murder case and ordered authorities to present her again on Monday.
Courts also sent the accused to judicial remand in several other cases, while a Malir court ordered her transfer to jail in a case registered at Sachal police station and sought a challan from the investigating officer within 14 days.
During her court appearance, the accused arrived with her face covered and accused police of torture, filing false cases, and bringing her from Lahore to Karachi.
She claimed her former husband was behind the allegations and stated that the house from where drugs were allegedly recovered had been closed for many years.
The investigating officer told the court that the accused was repeatedly changing her statements. Police also claimed to have recovered contact details of around 800 individuals and records of financial transactions worth millions from her mobile phone.
