WhatsApp beta introduces cover photo, redesigned settings page

California (Web Desk): WhatsApp is rolling out a major redesign of its settings page, introducing a new cover photo layout as part of the update. The change has been spotted in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iOS devices.

According to WABetaInfo, the cover photo will appear at the top of the settings screen, similar to Facebook’s cover photo feature, which has not been available on WhatsApp until now.

Currently, this feature is limited to beta users, but it is expected to roll out to more users in the coming weeks. In the redesigned settings page, the profile photo will be centered at the top, with the cover photo displayed above it, giving the account section a cleaner and more modern look.

Additionally, the “Settings” label will be replaced with “You,” making it easier for users to identify which account is active, especially for those using multiple accounts on the same device.

As this feature is still in beta, there is no confirmed timeline for when it will be available to all users.
