Heat wave likely to continue in Punjab till June 12: PDMA

Lahore (Web Desk): The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a warning that the ongoing heatwave is expected to persist across the province until June 12 (Thursday).

According to a PDMA spokesperson, temperatures are forecasted to remain 4 to 7 degrees Celsius above normal levels.

The heatwave is likely to be particularly intense in the southern districts, including Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Multan.

PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia stated that, following the directives of the Chief Minister, efforts are being made to ensure a consistent water supply in the Cholistan region.

He urged the public to take extra precautions, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals with health conditions.
