Islamabad (Web Desk): Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s Office, where they took stock of the headway made in Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting enduring peace in the region.
Both dignitaries expressed satisfaction over the de-escalation achieved so far and underscored the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and ensuring continued restraint by all parties involved.
They also acknowledged the prudence shown by the parties concerned and reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to continue playing a supportive role in helping them reach a mutually agreed and peaceful settlement.
The prime minister praised the dedication displayed by those involved in the ongoing process and expressed his best wishes for a successful outcome.
He further renewed his invitation to the visiting delegations, assuring them that Pakistan would offer full cooperation and extend every possible facilitation during their stay.
