Islamabad (Web Desk): Meta has recently launched the Instagram Map feature in Pakistan, offering users a new and interactive way to discover fresh and engaging content, stay connected with friends, while maintaining strong privacy controls.
According to reports, the Instagram Map is accessible directly above users’ DM inboxes. This new feature allows Pakistani users to share their locations and explore stories, reels, posts, and notes tagged with locations. It makes it easier to see what friends or favorite creators are sharing from concerts, cafes, or local spots.
Users can control who sees their last active location by choosing to share it with a selected group, close friends, or keep it hidden from everyone.
A key part of this privacy-focused experience is giving parents of teenage Instagram users full oversight. Parents can view and manage their child’s sharing preferences to ensure a safer environment.
Meta has also introduced improvements to the Instagram Map, including removing profile photos from map content, making indicators clearer when location sharing is turned off, and providing previews of how tagged content will appear.
