Pakistan, Norway discuss bilateral ties, regional situation 

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday held a meeting with Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, during which the two leaders reviewed the changing regional situation.

DPM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent approach of encouraging dialogue and constructive engagement as a means to advance peace and ensure stability in the region and beyond.

Kravik, in response, expressed Norway’s continued backing for Pakistan’s positive diplomatic contributions and its efforts aimed at securing a peaceful and sustainable resolution to ongoing conflicts.

The two sides also discussed ways to broaden and strengthen their bilateral relationship, including expanding cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Kravik delivered an invitation from Norway’s Foreign Minister for Deputy Prime Minister Dar to attend the upcoming Oslo Forum next month, which Dar welcomed and appreciated.

The two sides agreed to stay in regular contact on matters concerning bilateral cooperation as well as issues linked to regional peace, stability, and development.
