Lahore (Staff Report): Earthquakes tremors were felt on Saturday in several cities of Pakistan including Lower Dir, DI Khan, Kohat, Mianwali, Sargodha and Islamabad.
According to details, the earthquake tremors were also felt in Upper Dir, Nowshera, Swat and surrounding areas.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 5.8 on the Richter scale, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS), and its epicentre was the Hindukush Mountains in Afghanistan at a depth of 200 kms.
Earlier, the earthquake tremors were also felt in Karachi. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 2.9 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was 15 kilometres north of Karachi.
The tremors were felt in separate localities of the city including Landhi, Korangi and surrounding areas.
