Security forces kill 13 khwarij in South Waziristan IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces have killed thirteen khwarij in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in general area Sararogha of South Waziristan district, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), own troops effectively engaged the khwarij location during the operation conducted on reported presence of khwarij.

The statement said that the killed khwarij remained actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and killing of innocent civilians.

It added that sanitization operation was being carried out to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday paid tribute to the security forces for killing 13 terrorists during the operation in Sararogha area of South Waziristan.

In separate statements, the president and the premier appreciated the bravery of the security forces for killing the Khawarij during a successful intelligence-based operation.

They reiterated their commitment to the complete elimination of terrorists from the country.

“Security forces are conducting operations to eliminate the scourge of terrorism. The entire nation is united against terrorism and actions against Fitna Al-Khawarij will continue until the complete end of terrorism,” President Zardari said.

In his statement, PM Shehbaz said that the security forces will continue to crush the nefarious intentions of the enemies of humanity in the same way.

"The nation is proud of the fearless youth of the security forces,” the prime minister said.
