Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Omar Ayub Khan has been appointed as Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly (NA).
According to a notification issued by National Assembly Secretariat, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq declared Omar Ayub Khan as the Leader of Opposition in the Lower House.
The declaration was made in accordance with the Rule 39 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly 2007.
It was finalized today during a meeting of opposition's members Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Omar Ayub and Malik Amir Dogar with the Speaker in Islamabad today.
Omar Ayub's name was submitted by majority of the opposition.
