Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly (NA) speaker Asad Qaiser Thursday stated that party’s founder Imran Khan has picked senior leader Omar Ayub Khan as the candidate for prime minister’s slot.
Speaking to newsmen outside Adiala jail following his meeting with Imran Khan, Asad Qaisar said that he has been tasked with approaching all political parties to form the next government.
Alleging ‘poll rigging’, the PTI leader said that Imran Khan will be announcing a date for nationwide protest by evening today. “Our party’s mandate has been stolen,” he said.
The former NA speaker further said that he had been given an “assignment” to engage with all political parties protesting against the poll results, specifically mentioning Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Awami National Party (ANP) and Qaumi Watan Party (QWP).
Asad Qaisar said that his party leaders want that we all form a strategy because the mandate was stolen and this was the worst and most rigged election in our history.
