Islamabad (Staff Report): Omar Ayub Khan on Saturday joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after meeting with party chief Imran Khan.
Omer Ayub is the grandson of former military ruler Ayub Khan.
Omer Ayub served as the minister of state for finance between 2004 to 2007. He joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in 2012 was elected as a member of the National Assembly from constituency NA-19 as the party’s candidate in the by-election after 2013 general elections.
In 2015, after being involved a prolonged legal and electoral battle with his opponent over the NA-19, Haripur berth Omar Ayub decided to bow out of the re-poll.
