Karachi (Web Desk): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened today with a record-breaking surge, as investor enthusiasm pushed the market to new historic highs.
During trading, the KSE-100 Index jumped by 2,743 points, reflecting exceptional market momentum.
In today’s session, the KSE-100 Index traded at 149,586 points, approaching the highest level in the country’s history.
The market had closed at 146,842 points yesterday, making today’s gains a remarkable improvement.
Economists attribute the surge to several factors, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar’s visit to China and reports of reduced tensions between the U.S. and Iran, which boosted investor confidence.
Market analysts predict that if this bullish trend continues, the KSE-100 Index could cross the psychological 150,000-point mark within today’s session, marking another historic milestone for Pakistan’s equity market.
