Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the Pakistan Stock Exchange reaching a historic high of 124,000 points, calling it a clear reflection of investor and business community confidence in the recently announced people-friendly budget.

In a statement, the prime minister highlighted that this bullish trend indicates growing optimism in the economy and reinforces the positive impact of the government's fiscal policies.

He emphasized that the federal budget has not placed any additional tax burden on the common man.

Instead, measures such as salary increases and tax reductions have been introduced to provide meaningful relief to the salaried class, which has faced sustained pressure from inflation in recent years.

These steps, he noted, are designed to improve the overall quality of life and purchasing power of working citizens.

PM Shehbaz stated that the journey of economic development has begun in earnest and called upon all stakeholders to work together in pursuit of national progress and the betterment of ordinary Pakistanis.

He credited the reduction in inflation, a rise in foreign exchange reserves, and increases in both remittances and exports to the tireless efforts and effective strategy of his economic team.

The premier described Pakistan’s recovery from the brink of default and the onset of economic stability and growth as nothing short of miraculous.

“This exemplary economic turnaround, achieved through the hard work of the economic team and by prioritizing Pakistan's national interests, will be remembered in history in golden words,” PM Shehbaz asserted.
