DPM Dar in China to discuss regional developments 

Beijing (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a one-day official visit to meet his Chinese counterpart, Foreign Minister Wang Yi, to deliberate on the situation in Iran and to assess the progress of bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) shared on X.

MOFA stated that Dar left for China this morning in response to Wang Yi’s invitation. "Both leaders will review bilateral ties and discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.

This marks his second visit to Beijing this year," the ministry added, highlighting the importance of the engagement.

Meanwhile, in a statement, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning underlined the close strategic ties between the two nations, calling China and Pakistan “all-weather strategic cooperative partners with mutual trust and support.”

She pointed out that Beijing and Islamabad maintain similar stances on major international strategic matters and engage in frequent dialogue.

Mao further remarked, “We believe that the two foreign ministers will strengthen communication and coordination on regional issues of common concern, including the situation in Iran. Together, they will advocate for peace and justice, making new efforts to promote peace, cease hostilities, and maintain regional stability.”
