Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday expressed his appreciation to the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Egypt for placing their trust in Pakistan’s genuine efforts to foster peace and stability in the region.

The prime minister welcomed Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty on Sunday for a quadrilateral meeting aimed at addressing the escalating situation in the Middle East.

He welcomed their presence and highlighted the importance of joint initiatives to tackle the current regional challenges.

Sharing updates on his X account, PM Shehbaz Shehbaz said that during discussions with the Turkish and Egyptian ministers, he underscored the urgent need for coordinated action to end the ongoing violence, which has caused widespread loss of life, economic hardship, and property damage, not just in Iran but across several other Muslim nations.

He lauded the contributions of Turkiye and Egypt and reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to playing a constructive role in facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States. “I am thankful for their confidence in Pakistan’s sincere efforts for regional peace and stability,” he added.

In his meeting with Prince Faisal, the prime minister conveyed his respectful regards to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and warm greetings to Saudi Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom and commended Saudi Arabia’s remarkable restraint during these difficult times.

Highlighting the Kingdom’s leadership within the Muslim Ummah, he stressed the need for unity among Islamic nations.

The two sides agreed to stay closely coordinated in their shared mission to uphold peace and stability across the region.
