President Zardari signs finance bill for new fiscal year

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the Finance Bill for the new fiscal year, making it officially enforceable from July 1.

After being passed by the National Assembly, the bill was sent to the Presidency, where the President approved it in accordance with constitutional requirements.

The bill includes 10 full and 2 partial amendments proposed by the government, while 78 amendments suggested by the opposition were rejected.

Following the President’s assent, the Finance Bill has been forwarded for publication in the official gazette, after which it will be formally implemented.
