Sri Lanka, batting first, managed to score just 114 runs in 19.1 overs, with none of their batsmen reaching double figures. Pakistan's bowlers put in an outstanding performance, with Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz each taking three wickets. Abrar Ahmed claimed two wickets, while Salman Mirza and Saeem Ayub picked up one wicket each.
In reply, Pakistan's opening pair of Sahibzada Farhan and Saeem Ayub played crucial knocks of 23 and 36 runs, respectively, to guide Pakistan to a comfortable victory. The duo's partnership helped Pakistan chase down the target without much trouble.
