T20I tri-series: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets in the third match of the Tri-Nation T20 Series held in Rawalpindi. Chasing a target of 129 runs, Pakistan achieved it comfortably in just 15.3 overs, losing 3 wickets.

Sahibzada Farhan was the standout performer for Pakistan, remaining unbeaten on 80 runs off 45 balls, which included 5 sixes and 5 fours.

Saim Ayub contributed 20 runs, while Babar Azam made 16. Captain Salman Ali Agha was dismissed for a duck, and Osman Khan remained not out at 5. Earlier, Sri Lanka, after winning the toss and opting to bat, scored 128 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Janith Liyanage remained not out at 41 runs, while Kusal Perera made 25 and Kamindu Mendis scored 22.

Pakistan's bowling attack was led by Mohammad Nawaz, who claimed 3 wickets, with Salman Mirza, Faheem Ashraf, and Abrar Ahmed each taking 1 wicket. With this win, Pakistan moved to the top of the points table, while Sri Lanka remains at the bottom without any victories so far.
