Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack on a security forces convoy in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, which resulted in the martyrdom of 13 soldiers.
President Zardari paid tribute to the fallen heroes, stating that the soldiers had made the ultimate sacrifice for the defense of the homeland. “Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. These brave sons of the soil are our true heroes,” he said. “Such cowardly acts can never weaken the resolve of the Pakistani nation.”
The president also lauded the swift response of the security forces, who eliminated 14 terrorists in a retaliatory operation. He reiterated that the people of Pakistan and its armed forces are united and determined to root out terrorism, particularly that backed by foreign elements. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured civilians, including two children and a woman.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid homage to the martyrs and extended condolences to their families. He expressed deep sorrow over the injury of innocent civilians in the attack and prayed for the elevation of the martyrs' ranks.
Commending the military's decisive action in neutralizing 14 terrorists, the prime minister stated that India-backed terrorist elements would never succeed in destabilizing Pakistan. “The nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its defenders and salutes their courage,” he added.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that such attacks only strengthen the country’s resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms. He expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and assured that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
