Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday condemned an attack on security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa’s (KP) Tirah Valley and expressed their condolences on shahadat of security forces personnel.
President Zardari lauded the sacrifices of personnel of security forces who laid down their lives for the motherland.
He paid tribute to Shaheed Havaldar Inam Gul, Sepoy Muhammad Imran and Sepoy Altaf Khan.
The president lauded the security forces for their actions against Khawarij and sending terrorists to hell.
President Zardari also reiterated the resolve of continuing actions against terrorists.
“The entire nation is standing with its security forces to root out the scourge of terrorism,” he said.
The president also prayed for the high ranks of the departed souls in Jannah and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with fortitude.
The president prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Pakistan Army's officers and soldiers for their operation against terrorists in Tirah Valley.
In a statement, the premier said that the officers and jawans of Pakistan army were eliminating the terrorists of Khawarji fitna from the soil of Pakistan.
He paid tribute to Hawaldar Inam Gul, Sipahi Muhammad Imran and Sipahi Altaf Khan for embracing martyrdom in the operation against the terrorists.
The prime minister prayed for the elevation of ranks of the martyrs and for patience for the bereaved families.
He said war against terrorism would continue till its complete eradication from the country.
“The whole nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of Pakistan against terrorism.”
“The officers and jawans of armed forces of Pakistan always gave preference to performance of duty over their lives, PM Shehbaz said adding that the whole Pakistan nation was proud of its martyrs and their families.
On Friday, three Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom during shootouts with terrorists at three different locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Tirah Valley, the military’s media wing stated.
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on August 9, 2024, fire exchange took place between Security Forces and the Khwarij at three different locations in Tirah Valley of Khyber District.
However, during the intense fire exchange, three brave sons of soil identified as Havildar Inam Gul (age: 37 years, resident of District Mianwali), Sepoy Muhammad Imran (age: 29 years, resident of District Tank) and Sepoy Iltaf Khan (age: 22 years, resident of District Mardan), who having fought gallantly embraced Shahadat.
“Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.
