Iran shows readiness to restart diplomatic talks on nuclear program

Tehran (Web Desk): According to global media reports, Iran has expressed readiness to resume diplomatic negotiations regarding its nuclear program. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that talks could be reinitiated if Western nations demonstrate seriousness and goodwill.

In a letter to the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, Araqchi made it clear that the resumption of negotiations depends on the intentions and conduct of both parties. He stressed the importance of avoiding actions that could undermine the success of the talks.

This Iranian stance comes at a time when the UK, France, and Germany have initiated formal proceedings to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran. The three European nations have accused Iran of violating the terms of the 2015 nuclear agreement and failing to meet its commitments in a letter to the UN Security Council.

The countries have stated that they are activating the "snapback" mechanism, under which sanctions could be reinstated within 30 days.

It’s important to note that recent rounds of talks have taken place between Iran and the three European countries regarding a potential new nuclear deal.
