Russian , French presidents hold talks on Iran’s nuclear program

Paris (Web Desk): Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron held a two-hour telephone conversation focusing on Iran’s nuclear program and missile system.

President Macron described Iran’s nuclear ambitions as a potential threat to regional stability and urged Tehran to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and adhere strictly to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). He expressed hope for a diplomatic resolution regarding Iran’s missile program.

In response, President Putin emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and that Tehran has the right to nuclear energy under the NPT. He stressed the importance of respecting Iran’s sovereignty and security.
