Islamabad (Staff Report): Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday hinted out to impose governor's rule in Punjab.
Addressing to a press conference, Rana Sanaullah said the Interior Ministry had started work on summery regarding imposition of governor rule in Punjab. “If Punjab government bans his entry in the province, it will solid reason to impose the governor rule,” he said.
The statement comes after Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker’s ruling in CM election and President Dr Arif Alvi administered the oath of PTI-backed candidate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the Punjab CM on Wednesday.
Earlier, former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the PTI — once it forms its government in Punjab — may banned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and Punjab Home Minister Attaullah Tarar’s entry into the province.
The PTI Senior Vice President said Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Dost Mazari, who is also the Punjab CM election session’s presiding officer, should ban Sanaullah immediately after the statement he made last night.
