Islamabad (Staff Report): A local court on Saturday sent noted columnist and a close aide to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif Irfan Siddiqui to Adiala jail in Rawalpinidi on judicial remand for 14 days.
The case was registered under Section 188 with Ramna police station.
Police in the federal capital had arrested Siddiqui and Javed Iqbal, who was a tenant at the house, for violating tenancy laws and renting out his house without informing police.
Police presented Siddiqui and Iqbal before Magistrate Mehreen Baloch and requested a judicial remand.
