Washington (Web Desk): Russia may be in the process of deploying nuclear-capable hypersonic ballistic missiles in eastern Belarus, according to recent research conducted by the United States (US). 

Experts suggest that this move is part of Russia's broader strategy to utilize nuclear threats to prevent NATO member states from supplying weapons to Ukraine.

The presence of such advanced missile technology in the region is a concerning development, signaling Russia's intent to escalate tensions and put pressure on Ukraine's allies.

The deployment of these missiles is seen as a direct response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where Russia is facing significant resistance from Ukrainian forces, supported by Western military aid.

The potential stationing of hypersonic missiles—which are capable of traveling at speeds greater than five times the speed of sound—adds a new layer of military tension in the region.
