President Zardari confers Sitara-e-Pakistan upon renowned Chinese cardiologist Prof. Pan Xiangbin

Changsha (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari has conferred the Sitara-e-Pakistan on Professor Pan Xiangbin in recognition of his remarkable contributions to cardiac healthcare and his dedicated service to patients in Pakistan.

The honour was presented during a special ceremony held in Changsha, in China’s Hunan Province.

Professor Pan had travelled to Pakistan in January last year, where he, along with his medical team, carried out complex life-saving procedures on children suffering from congenital heart disease.

During the same visit, the team also trained Pakistani healthcare professionals in advanced interventional cardiac techniques to enhance local medical expertise.

The President remarked that such efforts have played an important role in strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare system and stand as a clear reflection of the growing, practical cooperation between Pakistan and China in the medical field.
