Those who tried to end Nawaz Sharif’s politics have vanished: Maryam Nawaz

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed confidence in the victory of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stating that Allah had blessed the party with a major win. She commended the candidates for their hard work and said that the people’s support reflected their belief in service, not in the politics of hate.

Addressing newly elected members of the assembly, she highlighted the victories in various regions, including Mianwali, where she said the launch of the Green Bus service symbolized a shift toward positive change. She also mentioned the party’s success in Haripur and the fact that PML-N had won all by-elections in the past, despite opposition claims of electoral fraud.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that despite facing challenges, the PML-N had never abandoned the political process, and had always faced difficulties with courage. She contrasted PML-N's approach with that of PTI, pointing out that while they criticized her party for "dynastic politics," PTI fielded their own family members as candidates.

She criticized the opposition’s narrative of "corruption" and pointed out the hypocrisy, stating that the people had rejected the politics of hatred and deceit. “The people no longer fall for your rhetoric,” she said, adding that PTI's four years in power would be remembered as the worst period in Pakistan’s history. Maryam also noted that the people had now clearly differentiated between the real and the fake, and the "thieves and robbers" narrative had lost its credibility.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated that the real measure of success is the country's progress. She emphasized that leaders must work tirelessly for the people's welfare, and the service done by PML-N cannot be erased easily. She also praised her father, Nawaz Sharif, for enduring hardships, including 11 years in exile, and for leading the country to unprecedented economic growth. She accused his opponents of orchestrating a conspiracy to remove him, but noted that Nawaz Sharif remains steadfast.

She pointed out that under Nawaz Sharif's leadership, Pakistan was breaking records of development, and there was no talk of default today. Referring to the current economic conditions, she mentioned that inflation had dropped from 40% to 4%, and the people were feeling the real change.

Maryam also highlighted the development projects in Punjab, mentioning the construction of roads and hospitals, and emphasizing that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued to come to Punjab for medical treatment, which reflects the province’s better infrastructure.

She concluded by stressing that the future of Pakistan is bright under PML-N leadership, and called on all newly elected representatives to work for the betterment of their constituencies.
