Islamabad: the meeting of Special Investment Facilitation Council’s (SIFC) Apex Committee was briefed on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s UAE visit and investment-related issues.
The civil-military forum established to attract foreign investment met under the chair of Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday.
Addressing the apex committee, the premier said that joint efforts were being made to resolve the country’s issues.
The meeting was also informed in detail about the prime minister’s recent visit to the UAE and UAE’s $10 billion investment offer.
Chief ministers of all the four provinces, federal ministers and military leadership attended the SIFC Apex Committee meeting.
Before the started of the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir held one-on-one meeting at the PM House discussing a range of issues including country’s security.
The PM and the army chief also deliberated upon the SIFC efficacy and investment-related issues, sources said.
