Pakistan, Saudi Arabia sign justice sector MoU as Tarar attends Riyadh conference

Riyad  (Web Desk): Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar headed Pakistan’s delegation at the Second International Conference on Justice, which took place in Riyadh under the patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The two-day event brought together over 40 countries' legal experts, ministers, and jurists to discuss key issues including judicial reforms, digital transformation in justice systems, and enhancing global cooperation in the legal sector.

During his visit, Minister Tarar held several important bilateral meetings with international counterparts. He met with Iran's Justice Minister, Dr. Amin Hossein Rahimi, to explore avenues for strengthening legal cooperation between the two nations.

Tarar also engaged in talks with Turkey's Justice Minister, Yilmaz Tunç, focusing on the modernization of judicial processes and potential collaboration in capacity-building.

Additionally, in a separate meeting with Azerbaijan’s Justice Minister, Farid Ahmadov, both sides discussed expanding the bilateral legal framework, sharing best practices, and increasing cooperation in judicial education.

Throughout these discussions, Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to advancing global partnerships in the justice sector, highlighting that such collaborations promote better access to justice, support the rule of law, and align national legal reforms with international best practices.
