3rd T20: Pakistan defeats Bangladesh by 74 runs in final match

Mirpur (Web Desk): Pakistan ended the three-match T20I series on a high note by defeating Bangladesh by 74 runs in the third and final match held in Mirpur.

After winning the toss, Bangladesh chose to field first. Pakistan posted a total of 178 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Opener Sahibzada Farhan led the batting with a solid 63-run knock. Hasan Nawaz scored 33, Mohammad Nawaz added 27, and Saim Ayub contributed 21 runs to the total.

In response, the Bangladeshi batting lineup collapsed for just 104 runs while chasing the target of 179. Mohammad Saifuddin was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 35 runs.

On the bowling front, Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets while Nasum Ahmed claimed 2.

Pakistan made two changes to their squad for this match, including Sahibzada Farhan and Hussain Talat, while Bangladesh made five changes to their playing XI.

Despite Bangladesh having already secured the series with wins in the first two matches, Pakistan’s dominant performance in the final game helped them avoid a series whitewash.
