Iranian FM Araghchi to visit Islamabad, Muscat and Moscow to consult on regional developments

Tehran (Web Desk): Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has launched a regional diplomatic visit that will take him to Pakistan, Oman, and Russia, as Tehran aims to boost coordination with key partners and exchange views on regional developments.

In a message posted on X on Friday, Araghchi referred to the trip as “timely” and confirmed that his itinerary includes Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow.

He stated, “Embarking on timely tour of Islamabad, Muscat, and Moscow,” while explaining that the main focus of his travel is to improve coordination on bilateral ties and hold consultations regarding current regional affairs.

“The purpose of my visits is to closely coordinate with our partners on bilateral matters and consult on regional developments,” he added.

Araghchi also underlined that close relations with neighboring states remain a cornerstone of Iran’s foreign policy, saying, “Our neighbors are our priority.”

The diplomatic tour is taking place amid increasing geopolitical tensions across the region, with Iran continuing its outreach efforts to strengthen partnerships and engage in discussions on political, economic, and security challenges with both regional and international stakeholders.
