PM Shehbaz in Qatar for two-day official visit

Doha (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Doha for an official visit to Qatar, accepting an invitation from the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

He was was received at the King Hamad International Airport in Doha by Qatar’s Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, Pakistan’s ambassador to Qatar, Muhammad Amir, and diplomatic staff.

According to the Foreign Office (FO), the premier is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with other members of the cabinet and senior officials from the government.

During his visit, the prime minister is scheduled for private discussions with Sheikh Tamim, covering the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. Key topics include political dialogue, economic collaboration, energy partnerships, and exchanges that strengthen cultural and people-to-people ties.

The two leaders will also look into new opportunities for cooperation, focusing on trade and investment, energy initiatives, infrastructure development, and facilitating employment for Pakistani workers in Qatar.

This visit underlines the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Qatar and reflects their commitment to expanding collaboration across multiple fields. The relationship between the two nations is rooted in mutual trust and active engagement on both regional and international fronts.

The meetings will also provide a chance for the leaders to share views on pressing regional and global challenges and to reaffirm their joint dedication to fostering peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
