Doha (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday embarked on a two-day official visit to Doha at the invitation of Qatar’s Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Upon his arrival, the premier was greeted at the airport by Qatari Minister of State Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, along with the Pakistani ambassador and other diplomatic officials, as reported by the PM Office Media Wing.
PM Shehbaz was accompanied by federal ministers, including Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, and Attaullah Tarar.
During his visit, the prime minister is set to engage in discussions with Sheikh Tamim and Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Their talks will cover a wide range of bilateral relations, with a particular emphasis on expanding trade and investment opportunities.
Moreover, delegations from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and the Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) will meet with the prime minister to discuss potential investment avenues in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, on October 31, 2024, PM Shehbaz will officially open the exhibition titled “Manzar: Art and Architecture in Pakistan from 1940 to Present.” This event aims to showcase Pakistan’s vibrant cultural and architectural legacy and highlight the strong ties between the people of Pakistan and Qatar.
