Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting with Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Zaidong on Thursday, during which they exchanged views on the evolving regional situation in the Middle East as well as Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at promoting peace.
According to a Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) news release, the premier was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Dr. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, and Foreign Secretary Ambassador Amna Baloch.

During the meeting, PM Shehbaz extended cordial greetings and good wishes to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang.
He expressed satisfaction over the steady and positive progress in Pakistan-China relations, reiterating that Pakistan holds its “All-Weather Cooperative Strategic Partnership” with China in high regard and takes immense pride in it.
PM Shehbaz further reiterated his commitment to working closely with the Chinese leadership to ensure that bilateral relations continue to strengthen and expand in all dimensions.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong thanked the prime minister for the warm reception and appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement for lasting peace and stability in the region.
He reaffirmed China’s unwavering commitment to deepening its “iron-clad” friendship with Pakistan and advancing ties in line with President Xi Jinping’s vision of an even stronger partnership.
