Weather system bringing rain, snowfall enters Balochistan

Lahore (Web Desk): A weather system bringing rain and snowfall has entered Pakistan, causing ongoing precipitation and snowfall in various regions of Balochistan. Heavy snowfall has been recorded in areas like Quetta and Chaman, with a severe cold wave sweeping across the region.

In Chaman, up to 6 inches of snow has been recorded, leading to the closure of the Quetta-Chaman highway for traffic. The road closure has resulted in severe difficulties for travelers and cargo vehicles.

Rescue teams from PDMA and NHA are actively working with heavy machinery to clear the snow and restore traffic.

Snowfall has also been reported in Ziarat, Kan Mehtarzai, Muslim Bagh, Toba Kakri, and Toba Achakzai, transforming the landscape into picturesque views as snowflakes fell from the sky like white pearls. However, daily life has been significantly disrupted due to the heavy snow.

With the intensity of the cold increasing, citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures.
