Islamabad (Web Desk): Technical-level talks between the United States (US) and Iran under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) are set to take place in Switzerland on June 21 (Sunday), with representatives from Pakistan and Qatar also expected to participate.
According to Foreign Office (FO), the discussions will be held in the Swiss city of Bürgenstock as a follow-up to the signing of the Islamabad MoU.
“Representatives of the United States and Iran, along with mediators from Pakistan and Qatar, will participate in the discussions,” the statement said.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said Pakistan will continue to facilitate the dialogue process in its role as a mediator, reaffirming its commitment to promoting peace and stability through diplomatic efforts.
The meeting aims to advance the understandings reached under the agreement and discuss the next phase of engagement.

Meanwhile, US Vice President J.D. Vance said talks with Iran could take place on Sunday and expressed optimism about the progress being made.
He noted that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are already in Switzerland for the negotiations and added that he may also travel there in the coming days.
On the Iranian side, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said the Iranian negotiating team would depart for Switzerland shortly.
He stated that Tehran would seek full implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding and emphasize adherence to the commitments made by all parties.
Baghaei said Iran has fulfilled its obligations and expects the other side to honor its commitments as well.
He warned that continued violations could jeopardize the agreement and said Iran would consider appropriate responses if the commitments are not upheld.
