Islamabad (Web Desk): The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a precautionary weather advisory warning of possible rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds across various parts of the country between June 20 and June 23.
According to the advisory, rainfall is likely in northern and central regions, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may also experience heavy winds, dust storms, and thunderstorms during this period.
NDMA has cautioned that strong winds and storms could potentially damage trees, weak structures, mud walls, electric poles, and billboards. People are urged to stay away from unstable structures and open spaces during the stormy weather.
The public is also advised to park vehicles in sheltered or secure areas, as reduced visibility during storms may lead to traffic accidents. Travelers and drivers should exercise extra caution during this time.
NDMA has called on citizens to stay informed through weather updates and follow safety guidelines to minimize risks and ensure personal safety.
