Gold price increases by Rs1,000 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs1,000, reaching a record high of Rs309,000 per tola on Thursday, against previous trading day, where the price stood at Rs308,000.

According to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs857, settling at Rs264,917, while the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold also saw a climb, increasing by Rs786 to Rs242,849.

The silver market followed suit with a price increase. The cost of per tola silver went up by Rs28 to Rs 3,468, and the price for 10 grams of silver saw a rise of Rs24, reaching Rs2,973.

In the international market, gold prices rose by $9, reaching $2,953, while silver saw a slight uptick of $0.19, now priced at $33.15 per ounce.
