UAE deputy premier Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed arrives in Pakistan on 2-day official visit

Islamabad (Web Desk):The Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has arrived in Pakistan for a two-day official visit.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Pakistan on Sunday evening, where he was welcomed by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

The statement further mentioned that this high-level visit reflects the deep brotherly ties between Pakistan and the UAE and highlights the two countries’ shared commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

During his visit, it is expected that Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed will discuss the scope of bilateral relations with his Pakistani counterpart, with a special focus on trade and investment, energy cooperation, regional security, and people-to-people connections.

Additionally, Sheikh Abdullah is set to meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and this meeting will endorse their shared vision of peace and prosperity in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also mentioned that the visit will further strengthen the long-standing relations between Pakistan and the UAE and help deepen bilateral ties across various sectors for the benefit of both nations.

This visit comes after the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, announced on April 8 that, following the resolution of current issues, Pakistanis can benefit from five-year visas.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan and the UAE share strong diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations. The UAE is one of Pakistan's largest trade partners in the Middle East and a significant source of remittances, with a large number of Pakistani expatriates living and working in the UAE.
