Gold price increases by Rs4,000, reaches to Rs342,500 per tola in Pakistan

Karachi (Web Desk): The domestic gold market experienced a notable surge as the price of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs4,000, reaching Rs342,500 per tola, up from the previous session’s Rs338,500, according to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA).

Alongside this, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose to Rs293,638, reflecting an increase of Rs3,429. Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold also saw an upward shift, now priced at Rs270,348.

Despite the upward momentum in gold, silver prices held steady in the local market. The rate for one tola of silver remained unchanged at Rs3,410, with 10 grams continuing to trade at Rs2,923 without any fluctuation.

Globally, precious metals followed a similar trend. Gold prices in the international market recorded a $40 increase, moving up to $3,241 per ounce from $3,201. Silver also edged higher by $0.24, bringing its global price to $32.52 per ounce.
