Lahore (Web Desk): The 50th death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet Saghar Siddiqui was observed on Friday.
Born in 1928 in Ambala, Saghar’s real name was Muhammad Akhtar Siddiqui.
After partition, he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Lahore.
Saghar Siddiqui started writing poetry at a very young age. He wrote ghazals for films and also published a literary magazine.
Saghar Siddiqui died on this day in 1974 and was buried at the Miani Sahib graveyard in Lahore.
