Gaza: At least 142 Palestinians were martyred and 278 others were injured in the past 24 hours, Gaza health ministry said in a statement on Friday.
A total of 24,762 Palestinians have been killed and 62,108 have been injured in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7, the ministry added.
On Thursday, Mexico and Chile expressed “growing worry” over “an escalation of violence” after several months of war between Israel and Hamas in a referral to the International Criminal Court (ICC) over possible crimes.
Palestine welcomed the request, seeking investigation into crimes against civilians during the war in Gaza.
“The court must fulfil its mandate towards Palestinian victims and ensure justice for crimes committed by Israeli officials, without fear or favour,” the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Later, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected again to support any future creation of a Palestinian state after the US renewed commitment towards a two-state solution.
The Israeli premier made the fresh remarks after recent statements by US officials who claim that the administration of US President Joe Biden envisions a post-war normalisation deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia that would include a “path” towards Palestinian statehood.
But Israeli officials, including Netanyahu, have repeatedly shot down the possibility of a future Palestinian state.
