Ishaq Dar meets Indonesia, Egypt delegations at UNSC, discusses Gaza situation

Washington (Web Desk): During the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held meetings with delegations from Indonesia and Egypt. The discussions focused extensively on the current situation in Gaza.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Ishaq Dar met with Indonesia's Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi to review bilateral relations and strengthen the long-standing brotherly ties between both countries.

They also discussed the ongoing situation in Gaza and the West Bank, agreeing to enhance cooperation in line with international law and UN resolutions for a fair and lasting peace in Palestine.

The upcoming visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to Pakistan in December 2025 was also seen as a significant step in further strengthening bilateral relations.

Additionally, Ishaq Dar met with Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, where both leaders expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation in various sectors.

They also discussed the Gaza and West Bank situation, emphasizing the need for adherence to international law and the urgent provision of humanitarian aid. Both leaders stressed the importance of close coordination on these issues.
