Punjab govt to launch 'PPMU' to monitor departmental performance

Lahore (Web Desk): A special meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has decided on measures to further improve the governance system in the province. T

The meeting focused on addressing key issues such as open manholes, inflation, stray dogs, wall chalking, and overflowing drains.

For the first time, a Punjab Performance Management Unit (PPMU) has been established to assess the performance of government institutions in the province. Using a Chief Minister’s dashboard, live monitoring of the entire province will be carried out to ensure transparent oversight in every city.

This initiative aims to continuously evaluate the performance of government staff and officers, ensuring improvements in public services and accountability.
