Asia Cup Rising Stars: Pakistan Shaheens beat UAE by 9 wickets

Doha  (Web Desk): Pakistan Shaheens have secured their place in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup Rising Stars by defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 9 wickets, maintaining an unbeaten record in the tournament.

The match took place at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar. UAE won the toss and chose to bat first, but Pakistan's bowlers put in an outstanding performance, dismissing the UAE team for just 59 runs in 18 overs.

Pakistan Shaheens chased down the target of 60 runs in just 5.2 overs, losing only one wicket.

Sufyan Maqeem was the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking 3 wickets for just 12 runs. Ahmed Daniyal and Moazz Sadat each took 2 wickets, conceding 7 and 19 runs respectively. Shahdab Aziz, Mohammad Shehzad, and Arfat Minhas claimed one wicket each.

During the chase, Moazz Sadat played a brilliant knock, scoring 37 not out with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Sadat had earlier remained unbeaten in his previous matches, scoring 96 against Oman and 79 against India A.

Mohammad Naeem scored 6 runs, including a six, before being dismissed, while Ghazi Ghori finished the chase with 16 not out, including 3 boundaries.

Pakistan had previously defeated Oman and their traditional rivals India in their first two matches. With this victory, Pakistan Shaheens have qualified for the semi-finals, where they will face more challenging opposition.
