Lahore (Web Desk): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an 18-player squad for the upcoming Pakistan Shaheens tour of England, with Test batter Saud Shakeel appointed as captain.
The Shaheens will tour England from July 17 to August 6, during which they are scheduled to play two three-day matches and three one-day games. The tour aims to provide valuable exposure and experience to emerging talent.
Notably, 11 of the 18 selected players are under the age of 25, highlighting the team management’s focus on grooming the next generation of national cricketers.
Former Test cricketer Imran Farhat has been appointed as head coach for the tour, tasked with guiding and mentoring the young squad through challenging English conditions.
This tour is seen as a significant opportunity for Pakistan’s up-and-coming cricketers to gain international experience and strengthen their case for future national selection.
